These days are going extremely fast and we still have to visit so many places. By the end of this week me and my boyfriend are leaving Fort Myers Beach and heading to Key West island for a couple of days. The sea is supposed to be awesome there so we'll continue our trip enjoying sun and palms.

Questi ultimi giorni stanno trascorrendo molto velocemente e abbiamo ancora molti posti da visitare. Entro la fine di questa settimana io e il mio ragazzo lasceremo Fort Myers Beach per dirigerci verso Key West island per un paio di giorni. Lì il mare dovrebbe essere fantastico quindi continueremo il nostro viaggio all'insegna del mare e delle palme.

Sun's Up

These past three days have been quite calm despite some extremely good news. So, first of all, I got picked to take part to my very first contest with other 9 italian bloggers, when I read the e-mail I was so excited/nervous. Can't wait to tell you more about it - I'll need a lot of your support though. I had my first Beach Theatre experience in the US too and I have to admit it was great: the cinema was placed in a small antique building and as soon as we arrived in our seats a girl came to us taking orders. So it was like being at the restaurant with a waitress just for you and everything!

Since the last post something I realized is Florida's crazy weather, bagel's deliciousness in the morning and the beauty of sunsets on the beach.

Gli ultimi tre giorni sono stati abbastanza tranquilli eccetto alcune fantastiche novità. Prima di tutte, sono stata scelta per partecipare a un contest con altre 9 blogger italiane, quando ho letto l'email ero iper contenta/nervosa. Non vedo l'ora di raccontarvi tutto - avrò anche bisogno di molto del vostro supporto. Ho anche sperimentato per la prima volta il Beach Theatre negli US e devo ammettere che è stato grandioso: il cinema era situato in un piccolo palazzo antico e dopo essere entrati nella sala una ragazza è venuta a prendere le ordinazioni. Era come essere al ristorante con una cameriera per sé e tutto il resto! 

Dall'ultimo post mi sono resa conto del tempo imprevedibile che caratterizza la Florida, dell'assoluta bontà dei bagel la mattina e della bellezza dei tramonti sulla spiaggia.

Bonjour Florida!

Day 3 - 35° - When I stepped out of the airport I was shocked about the hot-humid temperature and now I understand that my feeling was totally right. Me and my boyfriend spend 24/7 at the swimming pool or at the betch and I couldn't ask for any better. Hope that your summer is going great too, talk soon beauties ;)

Giorno 3 - 35° - Quando tre giorni fa ero uscita dall'aeroporto ero rimasta traumatizzata dalla temperatura calda e umida e ora capisco che la mia prima impressione era esatta. Io e il mio fidanzato passiamo 24/7 in piscina o in spiaggia e non potrei chiedere di meglio. Spero che anche la vostra estate stia andando alla grande, a presto bellezze ;)

Items, Moments, Feelings - PART NINE

Before arriving in Florida, while preparing my luggage I ended up reordering all the house and I ran into a white wood box in the studio. There were old letters that my grandparents used to send to each other while travelling. While reading all these yellow, consumed love letters I unconsciously asked myself: "Is there ever gonna be this kind of love again?". 
Prima di arrivare in Florida, mentre preparavo la valigia ho colto l'occasione per mettere a posto tutta la casa e nello studio mi sono imbattuta in una scatola di legno bianca. C'erano delle vecchie lettere che i miei nonni si erano mandati mentre viaggiavano. Mentre leggevo queste lettere d'amore consumate e giallastre inconsciamente mi sono chiesta: "Si riuscirà a trovare ancora una volta questo tipo di amore?"

Flying to Florida

Before leaving Milan I had some big difficulties packing everything, I couldn't just pack all my wardrobe and not even a couple of things.
So I thought about all different ways to pack with intelligence: make a list (never worked for me - I change my mind too many times), choose a style and pack just the elements that stick with it (I'd get bored too easily), do it step by step (the risk is to pack too much). I optioned for the third way promising myself not to get over 20 kilos. After doing the clothes+shoes part I managed to organize really well all the other stuff placing every different item(body lotions, make up, bikinis, accessorizes, general toilet) in many different beauty cases. I can surely say it did worked. 

Prima di partire da Milano, non potendo portarmi via né tutto il guardaroba e nemmeno un paio di vestiti ho avuto un sacco di problemi nel riempire la valigia in modo sensato.
Ho quindi pensato di prendere in considerazione tutti i possibili modi per fare una valigia intelligente: fare una lista (non fa per me - cambio idea troppe volte), scegliere uno stile e mettere nella valigia tutti i pezzi che centrano qualcosa (io mi stuferei troppo facilmente), fare tutto passo dopo passo (qui il rischio sta nel scegliere troppe cose da portare via). Ho poi optato per la terza strada promettendo a me stessa di non andare oltre i 20 kg. Dopo essermi occupata di vestiti e scarpe sono riuscita a organizzare molto bene tutte le altre cose (creme, trucco, costumi da bagno, accessori, toilet in generale) in tanti beauty case. Posso dire con sicurezza che ha funzionato.

Easy-To-Wear: Orange long dress + Brown leather wedges

After a just-girls week-end here I am back in the city for a few days. The 35° degrees average made me want to wear the easiest and most comfortable outfit, so this is the result!

Dopo un week-end tra sole donne eccomi di nuovo in città per qualche giorno. I 35° di media hanno fatto sì che scegliessi l'outfit più comodo e veloce in assoluto, ecco il risultato!

Swimming pool, Jeffrey and cupcakes, what else?

During the last three months I have been dreaming about, days full of sun, fashion and cooking and here I am. I woke up full of energy, prepared some fresh cream and strawberry cup cakes and went to the swimming pool all day. Before sales started and the centre became really crowded, I managed to buy this pair of Jeffrey Campbell's wedges - which are beautifully designed. 

Negli ultimi tre mesi non ho smesso un secondo di immaginare giornate piene di sole, moda e ricette ed ora eccomi qui. Mi sono svegliata piena di energie, ho preparato delle fresche cup cakes con panna e fragole e sono stata tutto il giorno in piscina. Prima che iniziassero i saldi e il centro diventasse affollato sono riuscita a comprare questo paio di zeppe firmate Jeffrey Campbell - sono magnifiche.

Super Chocolate Mini Balls

Today after finding out that my motorbike wasn't working and after a ridiculously gorgeous brazilian manicure I managed to prepare a little dessert for a dinner with friends aka super chocolate mini balls. Even if it's not the perfect season for chocolate I really wanted to give it a try and they turned out pretty well (and easy at the same time).

Oggi dopo aver scoperto che il mio motorino non funzionava e dopo aver provato una manicure brasiliana eccezionale sono riuscita a preparare un piccolo dessert per una cena con amici - delle mini palline super cioccolatose. Anche se non è la stagione migliore per il cioccolato volevo dare a questa ricetta una chance e si è rivelata piuttosto buona (e facile al tempo stesso).

Back on track!

After a rough two weeks here I am! I missed my blog so much and now I'm so ready to be back on track! These past weeks I have been doing nothing but studying and studying so now I'm just relaxing everyday at the swimming-pool waiting to go to Florida(so excited!). I'll be posting something everyday so STAY TUNED ;)

Dopo due settimane di fuoco ri-eccomi qua! Prendermi cura del blog mi è mancato un sacco e adesso sono pronta a tornare in azione! In questo ultimo periodo non ho fatto altro che studiare e studiare quindi ora ho deciso di rilassarmi un po' in piscina aspettando di andare in Florida. Aggiornerò il blog tutti i giorni quindi RESTATE SINTONIZZATI ;)
