Yesterday I came to know an incredible and descructive news. The director of my super favorite magazine, Michela Gattermayer, left Velvet. God knows who is gonna take her irreplaceable place, all I know is that my insiders told me she's gonna become Vanity Fair's editor in chef ! Can't wait to see what happens!

Ieri ho ricevuto una notizia incredibile e sconvolgente. La direttrice della mia rivista iper preferita, Michela Gattermayer, ha lasciato Velvet. Chissà chi prenderà il suo ruolo insostituibile, le mie fonti mi dicono che diventerà il nuovo capo redattore di Vanity Fair! Non vedo l'ora di vedere cosa succede!

Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc, Cruise collection 2012, Karl and NOT only. In fact he prepared for us a movie: The Tale of a Fairy. And guess what? The protagonist is his only muse: Freja Beha. The stylist described it as "a movie about the evil use of money, that begins with violence and finishes with emotions".

Lo stilista lo ha descritto così: "un film sull'uso malvagio del denaro, che comincia con la violenza e  finisce coi sentimenti".

The collection for your summer: H&M

Even if most of the times my motto while shopping is "better a few but beautiful pieces" when I saw H&M's wonderful collection I fell in love with its denim and its original details. I'd say these ones are definitely my "must have" for this summer: easy-to-wear dresses, really needed shorts and some cute accessories like the hat. 

Anche se il più delle volte il mio motto quando faccio shopping è "meglio pochi ma buoni" quando ho visto la collezione di H&M mi sono innamorata in particolare dei pezzi denim e dei dettagli originali. Questi sono di sicuro i miei "must have" per l'estate: vestiti pronti all'uso, shorts utili sempre e comunque e accessori carini come il cappello.

Could you ever imagined that Gisele while being a mother, an actress and Harvard Medical School Honored would have found time to launch her own lingerie collection? Well, I couldn't but, you know, when we're talking about Gisele we never know what's next. Gisele Bundchen Brazilian Intimates was showcased last week in San Paulo and she presented 40 hot pieces!
Avreste mai potuto immaginare che Gisele mentre copriva il ruolo di mamma, attrice e membro onorario dell'Harvard Medical School avrebbe trovato anche il tempo per lanciare una collezione personale di lingerie? Beh, io no ma quando si parla di Gisele non si sa mai cosa ci aspetta. Gisele Bundchen Brazilian Intimates è stata presentata la scorsa settimana a San Paolo ed è composta da 40 capi sexy!

BIENVENU ABERCROMBIE!
For first I really have to say that the American brand knows very well how to get media's attention and well, its models know how to stay under the spotlight! In fact the flagship store opened on Friday in Champs Élysées and the opening was (let's say) unexpected: a parade of 101 shirtless male models walking down the fashion avenue. And that's not all because the brand decided to keep the models walking in the street through its inaugural year.
Per prima cosa devo dire che il brand americano sa il fatto suo quando si tratta di attirare l'attenzione dei media e beh, anche i modelli sanno come stare sotto i riflettori! Il negozio ha aperto lo scorso venerdì sugli Champs Élysées e l'inaugurazione è stata (diciamo) inaspettata: una sfilata di 101 modelli senza maglietta, che hanno camminato lungo la strada di moda. E non è tutto qui perché il marchio ha deciso ti continuare questo rito dei modelli sulla strada durante tutto il suo primo anno di inaugurazione.

What's more romantic than a king finding his queen? They met at Coachella in 2007 and then it's been a no-stop love and we have the proof of it with their marriage! In fact Caleb Followill and the talented Victoria Secret's model Lily Aldridge just got married. She was wearing a custom-made strapless, mermaid-fit Vera Wang gown with layers of Chantilly lace and corded lace appliqués and he was wearing a grey Gucci suit and a skinny cream tie.
Cosa c'è di più romantico di un re che trova la sua regina? Si sono conosciuti al Coachella nel 2007 e poi è stato un'amore no-stop e ne abbiamo la prova con il loro matrimonio! Infatti Caleb Followill e la famosa modella di Victoria Secret Lily Aldridge si sono appena sposati. Lei ha optato per un vestito senza spalline firmato Vera Wang con strati e applicazioni di pizzo Chantilly e lui ha indossato un abito grigio Gucci e una cravatta color crema.

Showroom day - touch(buy) and go

Today after a quick lunch I met up with my mum and a friend to go to this beautiful showroom in the centre of Milan. I found awesome pieces from Velvet (with its undescriptible cotton), Cashmere360 and Graham and Spencer. I'll show you soon what I bought :)
Oggi dopo un pranzo al volo ho incontrato mia mamma e un'amica per andare in uno showroom mozzafiato in centro a Milano. Ho trovato pezzi stupendi di marche come Velvet (con il suo cotone indescrivibile), Cashmere360 e Graham and Spencer. Vi farò vedere presto le mie scelte :)

SNAPS NEWS of the week |4| - Special on RAFW

Last year I have been in Australia for six months and the last year and half it's been a continuous travel from Milan to Australia because of sentimental reasons. I visited most of the country and I fell in love with its places and with its relaxed way of living so I decided to dedicate this Snaps News post to the Rosemount Australia Fashion Week.
L'anno scorso sono stata per sei mesi in Australia e l'ultimo anno e mezzo è stato un continuo avanti e indietro Milano-Australia per ragioni sentimentali. Ho avuto l'opportunità di vedere gran parte del paese e mi sono innamorata delle città e dello stile di vita molto più rilassato per questo ho deciso di dedicare questo Snaps News post alla Rosemount Australia Fashion Week.

CAMILLA AND MARC
The brother-and-sister-duo have been under the spotlight of RAFW and there is nothing surprising about it because Camilla and Marc gave proof of their strengh and originality once again. The new one is a vivid collection that puts together zippered neoprenes and billowing silks. Camilla and Marc tried to differentiate Australian fashion from the British style. In fact Marc said: "we are such a young country with an even younger fashion industry we find that we are able to take risks and challenge ourselves".
Il duo fratello e sorella sono stati sotto i riflettori della RAFW e non c'è da stupirsi perché Camilla e Marc hanno dato prova della loro forza e della loro originalità ancora una volta. Quella appena uscita è una collezione vivace che mette insieme tessuti con zip e colori neon e gonne gonfie. Camilla e Marc hanno asserito che c'è un abisso tra la moda australiana e lo stile britannico. Infatti Marc ha detto:"siamo un paese così giovane con un'industria della moda ancor più giovane che siamo pronti a correre dei rischi e a rivoluzionare continuamente noi stessi".

KIM ELLERY
The designer during a interview with Harper Bazaar admitted that while designing the collection she was inspired by a special painting: "The Second Marriage" by David Hockney of the 1963. In the runway there were important models such as Jennifer Hawkins but not only because Kim looked for special models, she said: "I flew a girl over from Perth specifically to walk for me called Evelyn. She was phenomenal, she wore the bomber jacket, and she is divine so I was really excited to have her here." 
The key of the collection was the concept of coupling and pairs. In fact the designer decided that everything had to be about pairing: from the music to the models (sent out in pairs) and the clothes which were made to complement each other. 
La stilista durante un'intervista con Harper Bazaar ha ammesso che per disegnare la collezione è stata ispirata da un quadro in particolare: "The Second Marriage" di David Hockney del 1963. Sulla passerella c'erano modelle importanti come Jennifer Hawkins ma non solo perché Kim ha voluto cercare modelle speciali, la stilista ha asserito: "ho fatto venire una ragazza da Perth che si chiama Evelyn. E' stata fenomenale, ha indossato una giacca bomber ed è davvero stupenda, ero molto contenta di averla con me." La parola chiave della collezione è stato il concetto di coppia e di pari. Infatti la stilista ha deciso che tutto sarebbe stato di ugual numero: dalla musica, alle modelle (che sfilavano in coppia) fino ai vestiti, che sono stati disegnati per completarsi a vicenda.

DION LEE

The second show during the RAFW was Dion Lee's one. This talented designer worked with shades of lilac, crisp blue and black and white. "The idea was to mix the soft elements in with the tailoring," he explained. "It was kind of attraction to something softer and more unexpected."

La seconda sfilata della RAFW è stata quella di Dion Lee. Questo talentoso stilista ha puntato tutto su sfumature di lilla, blu intensi e bianco e nero. "L'idea era di mischiare elementi soffici con tagli scolpiti," ha spiegato. "E' stata un'attrazione a qualcosa di più soffice e inaspettato."

This collection mixes together elements of girlish charm and bohemian taste all mixed up with a bit of rock and roll.
Questa collezione mette insieme elementi dal fascino femminile e dallo stile bohemian il tutto con un po' di rock and roll.

Purple and Blue

You know those kind of days when you have to go out and do things, you have no idea what to wear and you really don't feel like going out in tracksuit? Ok, the other day was THAT kind of day and this outfit is the result of the conditions I told you 2 seconds ago. Besides the outfit problems I went to this beautiful Impressionist gallery in the centre of Milan and then for some shopping.
Hope you like them and please don't hesitate to give me your opinion;)

Avete presente quei giorni in cui bisogna uscire di casa e sbrigare delle faccende - non si ha idea di cosa mettersi e l'opzione "esco in tuta" non è delle migliori? Ecco, l'altro giorno è stato esattamente di quel tipo e questo outfit è il risultato di quelle condizioni appena menzionate. Dopo la crisi "oddio cosa pesco dall'armadio" sono andata a vedere la mostra degli Impressionisti a Palazzo Reale a Milano e poi a fare un po' di shopping.

Items, Moments, Feelings - PART SIX

{Strawberries milkshake: awesome for a quick snack}

The past few days have been crazy and I really didn't have time to do anything but studying and going last night to a nice concert. Even though here some new pictures:)

ps I really suggest all of you to try the strawberries milkshake - which became definitely my favorite. I made it with 10 strawberries - water - milk - 1 teaspoon of sugar (it's up to you making it more milky or light).

Gli ultimi giorno sono stati davvero frenetici and non ho davvero avuto tempo per fare niente eccetto studiare e andare a un bel concerto ieri sera. Nonostante tutto ecco delle nuove foto:)

ps Consiglio a tutti il milkshake alla fragola - è diventato il mio preferito. L'ho fatto con 10 fragole - acqua - latte - un cucchiaino di zucchero (sta a voi decidere se farlo con più o meno latte)

Long Skirt happened

Yesterday I spent the afternoon with two of my good friends and while we were at home chatting and listening to music I remembered about this really nice long skirt in mum's closet. So I tried it on and after trying and trying different combinations I picked (with my friend's help of course) a simple white singlet. In fact I decided to give all the importance to the skirt. I literally fell in love with its volume and its little/hidden details and I realized that long skirts can do a lot in women's closets.

Here some reasons:

• The main role of an original long skirt: I do am really convinced about this first point. The long skirt can be THE piece that changes completely an outfit (in good or bad of course)
• No need for a perfect tan: so hurray for long skirts again especially because during spring is hard to have perfect tanned legs
• Long skirts give a beautiful line to women's bodies
• No need for waxing/shaving because women can't be perfect everyday under all aspects!

Ieri ho passato il pomeriggio con due mie amiche e, mentre eravamo a casa a chiacchierare e ad ascoltare musica, mi sono ricordata di una gonna lunga molto bella nell'armadio di mia mamma. L'ho provata e dopo diversi tentativi ho optato (con l'aiuto della mie amiche ovviamente) per una semplice canottiera bianca. Infatti ho deciso di lasciare tutta l'importanza alla gonna. Mi sono innamorata della voluminosità e dei piccoli dettagli nascosti della gonna e mi sono anche resa conto che le gonne lunghe possono giocare un ruolo molto importante negli armadi delle donne. 

Qui di seguito alcune motivi:

• Il ruolo fondamentale della gonna lunga: sono molto convinta di questo primo punto. La gonna lunga può diventare la protagonista principale di un outfit e cambiarlo completamente (in meglio o peggio ovviamente)
• Niente preoccupazioni per un'abbronzatura perfetta: quindi "w le gonne lunghe" a maggior ragione in questa stagione in cui è difficile avere delle gambe perfettamente abbronzate
• Molto spesso creano una linea sinuosa sul corpo delle donne
• Niente preoccupazioni per ceretta/depilazione perché le donne non possono essere perfette tutti i giorni sotto ogni aspetto
